The state CMA organization has organized a conference entitled “The Authentic Joy in Medicine” which will be held at Marian University in Indianapolis on March 22-23. In addition to physicians, the conference will attract a large group of medical students from both IU and Marian. This is a great opportunity for us to connect with and influence the next generation of physicians. It is also a chance for each of us to rediscover the reasons we were drawn to medicine in the first place. The conference begins Friday evening and goes through the day on Saturday. You can sign up and view more information at https://medcon2019.splashthat.com/ . Please register soon if you are able to attend.
The Catholic Medical Association will hold a national leadership training conference in Mundelein, IL on June 13-15. Guild leaders and all members interested in learning more about the organization are invited to attend. For more information see https://www.cathmed.org/events/ltm/
As it did last year, the Leadership conference will coincide with the Medical Student Boot Camp, a yearly intensive week of formation for students to prepare them for the challenges medical school will bring to their faith. If you know of any current or entering medical students encourage them to look into this week. The cost of the entire Boot Camp for a student, including meals and lodging, is only $50.
